Our popular Teen Science Cafe connecting teens with researchers and each other goes online!
Meet MIT researchers in the fields of environmental science and engineering in this Zoom webinar. Hear about their work focusing on innovative sustainability solutions to solve the complex problems of climate change. Teens will have a chance to ask the researchers questions, and learn more about their path to becoming a scientist.
Professor Ken Strzepek has spent 30 years as a researcher and practitioner at the nexus of engineering, environmental and economics systems, primarily related to water resource planning and management. His work has taken him around the world.
Professor Dave Des Marais works in sustainable agriculture and works to understand the mechanisms of plant-environment interaction. His lab uses tools from many areas of science including molecular, quantitative, and population genetics to advance his research.
This is a free event for interested high school students only.
