Open seven days a week, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. except major holidays.
July and August only: Open until 6 p.m.

Holiday Hours: The Museum will be closed December 24 & 25.  The Museum will close at 3 p.m. on December 31, and will be closed on January 1, 2019. 

Please note: Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult while visiting the Museum.


$10 Adults $5 Youth under 18, students with ID, seniors 65+
Free for children under 5 Free for MIT ID holders (students, faculty, staff, spouses, alumni) with one free guest.
Free last Sunday of each month, September through June

Two-hour metered parking nearby along Massachusetts Avenue and side streets. Public parking in the Le Méridien Hotel garage and Bishop Allen Drive, Central Square, both within close walking distance of the Museum.

Public Transportation

Subway: The MBTA (the “T”) Red Line stops in Central Square (7-minute walk) and Kendall Square (15-minute walk).
Bus: The #1 bus stops at Sidney Street and Massachusetts Avenue (4-minute walk). Other bus lines also stop near the museum.
