Description

Leeds & Northrup was a Philadelphia-based manufacturer of electronic instruments. It began when Morris Leeds (who had his own instrument company) partnered with physicist Edwin Northrup in 1903. They developed and manufactured precision measuring instruments like resistance bridges, potentiometers, galvanometers, and other instruments. It merged with General Signal Corporation in 1978.
