The museum offers different types of internships.

When available, museum internships are open to undergraduate and graduate students, with start times coinciding with the fall or spring semester or in the summer. Internships are paid. If course credit is offered by a student intern’s academic institution, we discuss the terms with the intern’s academic advisor. A résumé and cover letter are required for all internship applications. We are not currently accepting applications for student internships, but encourage you to check back here later.

The Teen Interns at the MIT Museum (TIMM) program is a paid opportunity for teens to amplify the voices of their peers within the Museum and the community by collecting and interpreting their needs and wants, designing and facilitating STEAM-related events, and sharing their vision for youth and teen programming at the museum. Interns commit to four hours per week for the academic year.

Applications for Teen Internships are accepted annually in September. Please check back then to apply.
