Description

architecture firm

Ware and Van Brunt met in the office-studio of Richard M. Hunt in New York, where they both worked and trained in 1859. Before Ware successfully established the Department of Architecture at MIT later in the 1860s, the office of Ware and Van Brunt served as a major drafting and design training center in the Boston area. The firm's best-known building is their competition-winning design for Memorial Hall at Harvard University.
