In the 1960s and 1970s, MIT hired Massar/Black Star to shoot myriad campus activities and faculty portraits for campus publications. Many of these photographs are now in the collections of the MIT Museum having been transferred from the MIT News Office and former Publications Office to the museum in the 1970s. The quality of these images is uniformly high and they represent some of the most sought after images by researchers.
