"Gary Hack, working with Gruen Associates Inc., prepared the development plan for this 425-acre site. It included schematic plans for housing development and more developed plans for a nature conservation area on one part of the site. The housing included a wide range of types, from low-rise apartments to single-family detached homes on large lots. To facilitate acceptance of the entire plan, Mr. Hack drafted a Planned Unit Development (PUD) ordinance, which was adopted by the City."
