"Gary Hack guided a participatory programming process with a cross-section of students and faculty to develop the design guidelines for this 500-student residence. The final design provided seven different unit types to accommodate a range of student lifestyles. Steve Carr was co-principal with John Meyer at Ashley/Meyer/Smith for the detailed design of the buildings and site, which were completed in 1971."
