Boston Common Use Study

Contact us about this architectural site

Description

“The City of Boston's Parks and Recreation Department commissioned Carr, Lynch Associates to conduct a use study of the Boston Common in order to determine a new site for the visitor center, and to provide a basis for long term maintenance and programming plans for the park. CLA recorded and characterized the overall dynamics of the Common and its users, and recommended moving the visitor center to a less congested site. The new site has enlivened the nearby Parkman Plaza and has emphasized the views to key landmarks in and around the Common.”
