Prudential Center South Garden

Contact us about this architectural site

Description

Prudential Center Garden: “At the heart of the Prudential Center’s new public realm lies a triangular open space, flanked by the Center’s main office tower, a Boston landmark, it’s major new tower, 111 Huntington Avenue, a new residential building and a food centered retail frontage. Led by Steve Carr, CLHS saw this as an opportunity to create a garden that would not only provide a relaxing counterpoint to the busy retail environment, but could also become a venue for public events and a memorable addition to Boston’s prime public spaces. Our design features a large spiral granite fountain leading to a circular waterfall and enfolding a stage. Sheltered sitting areas among rich plantings provide places for social life and the terrace adjacent to the fountain is populated with tables and chairs for outdoor eating serviced by the food retail.”
