"This studio was designed for Dmitri Hadzi, a large-scale public works sculptor. The studio addition was conceived as a quiet retreat from the bustle of the main sculpture workshop. The initial design shows a complex structure that was eventually reduced to a simple building with large spans of unbroken wall space and a north-facing skylight."
