"Jim Sandell worked with Brown, Daltas International as a senior designer to plan and build the King Khalid Military City. Located in the kingdom's empty quarter, the city's location is of strategic importance for Saudi Arabia's security and included housing for families and single personnel, schools, office and retail areas, community spaces, and mosques. Over 65,000 men, women, and children now live and work in a fertile environment that was once barren and hostile."
