"Carr, Lynch Associates, working with Greater Boston Community Development, was consultant to the Columbia Point Community Task Force on a master plan to show how Boston's largest (1500 units) and worst (75% abandoned) public housing project could be transformed into a successful mixed-income community. The plan was accepted by the Task Force, the Boston Housing Authority, and the Boston Redevelopment Authority as a basis for issuing a developer's kit. The plan was accompanied by building rehabilitation studies and included proposals for new park and recreational facilities along the Dorchester Bay shoreline, as well as commercial services. The resulting redevelopment effort is now complete, by others."
