Lisbon Street and Main Street Improvements implemented.

"Carr, Lynch Associates prepared an overall plan and then designed public improvements for the two principal shopping streets of Lewiston, Maine. A shopping and pedestrian area was connected to parking by two walkways designed as miniature parks. The design also included sidewalk canopies and special lighting, which reflect the City's French-Canadian heritage. Strongly patterned sidewalk paving matched the building rhythms and marked entranceways. For reasons of budget, the final design of canopies and lighting was simplified."
