Description

In 1954, the Laboratory for Electronics (LfE) developed the Super Precision Approach Radar, a portable ground control radar that could help airplanes land safely in any location. A year later, LfE’s Gene Schroder gifted this model to Ralph Eastman, Vice President of Boston’s State Street Bank for his collection of memorabilia from the history of aeronautics which he displayed in the lobby of the bank’s offices on Franklin Street.
