Description

This instrument consists of a large black metal box with three electrical connectors on the top, and two on the bottom. There is a small window in the bottom center of the instrument. Serial number 4326

The Magnar battery charger is a mechanical rectifier that was developed to charge the batteries used in railway signaling systems. General Electric began selling this device in 1922, and redesigned it in 1923.
