Description

This flash lamp consists of a long metal tube with a metal cap at both ends. There are wire loops at regular intervals along the side of the glass tube. The object is secured inside a wood case.

This 50-inch xenon flash lamp iluminated at 10,000 watts per second, and six of them were used to illuminate a large cloud chamber at the Brookhaven National Laboratory.
