Model of Saturn rocket in wood case. The model can be disassembled to show its various stages.

The Apollo spacecraft were powered by the Saturn family of rockets including the I, IB and V. The IB was used for the earth-orbital phase of Apollo, including the Apollo 7 mission launched in 1968 and the Skylab program. MIT alumnus and faculty member, Robert C. Seamans, Jr. as NASA Associate Administrator and Deputy Administrator from 1960 to 1968 used this model (and several others) to explain the Apollo program to Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, members of Congress, and other senior government officials.
