Description

This object is a black metal tube with a flared opening on either side that is mounted on a bracket.

Pitot tubes are used to measure the velocity of air flow. It makes use of the Venturi effect (where the velocity of a fluid increases and its pressure decreases as it moves through a constricted space in a tube) to measure airspeed.
