Description

Commercially available cane with a curved handle and a straight cane. White with red bottom section.

This cane was collected as part of the MIT Cable Cane project. The project began as a Master's thesis project (Leonard Potash, 1961, Mech Eng Dept, supervised by Thomas B. Sheridan), then continued as an undergraduate project in 1962 as part of Dwight Baumann's 2.671 course. The project eventually resulted in the commercially produced Hycor Cable Cane.
