Description

Model of a ship designed to carry liquid natural gas. In form, it has a bulbous bow like many 20th century freighters, with five domes along the deck for the natural gas. Model has a black hull, green decks, and white superstructure, and is mounted on a flat pressboard base with a removable plexiglass vitrine.

This type of LNG ship was built at the General Dynamics Quincy Shipyard in Quincy, Massachusetts. General Dynamics had contracts for 12 of these vessels in the 1970s.
