Description

Entrance to Savannah River, showing Fort Pulaski, Tybee Island, the vessels sunk by the rebels in the river channel, a portion of the national blockading squadron, and a part of the Stone Fleet. The names of geographic markers correspond to the distant landscape and are listed from left to right as follows: Lighthouse; Martello Tower; Tybee Island and a half miles range from Fort Pulaski; Fort Pulaski; Old Hulks sunk by the Rebels in the Channel; Lighthouse; Commodore Tatnail's Rebel Squadron; Entrance to Savannah. The names of vessels listed under the row of geographic markers from left to right: Flag, Pembina, Seneca, Pcahontas, Ottawa, Sailing Frigate Savannah, Stone Fleet.
