Title page to a catalog reproducing the tapestries depicting the defeat of the Armada, once hanging in the House of Lords, designed by Vroom and woven in Spierincx's workshop; a decorative titlepage followed by a dedication, list of subscribers, an account of the Spanish invasion, and an explanation of the plates; ten tapestry plates, each with an ornamental border including portrait medallions. 1739."The Tapestry Hangings of the House of Lords Representing the Several Engagements Between the English and Spanish Fleets in the Ever Memorable Year MDLXXXVII [1588], With the Portraits of of the Lord High-Admiral, and the Other Noble Commanders, taken from the Life." The title page is followed by a page entitled "A Brief Narrative of the intended Spanish invasion in the year 1588."
