Description

Photograph of a lithograph: see evidence of the edges of the lithograph paper and a nail that held the lithograph in place for the photograph can be seen in the bottom right corner. Hand-colored and painted on top of the photograph (e.g. water, port city, crewmens' shirts, various flags on masts, and the ship's hull. Splotches of blue paint are seen on the bottom margin of the photograph.

An image of the bark ANN ALEXANDER under partial sail, facing left, with an American flag off the back. A small whaleboat is being towed behind the ship (with one man inside). A harbor-town can be seen in left background. Title below.
