Description

Hand-colored etching depicting a whaling scene among a shoal of sperm whales. 10 whaleboats, four motherships, and seven visible whales.

In which the ship Enterprise, Wm. Roach, Pocahontas and Hoque were engaged 10th Dec. 1833. To the merchants, Capts. Officers and Crew engaged in the whale fishing this print is respectfully inscribed by Corns. B. Hulsart who lost an arm onboard the whale ship Superior of New London and was on board of the Enterprise at the time.
