Black and white photograph of the yacht 'Alice' taken soon after she arrived at Cowes from Boston in her record transatlantic journey in 19 days, 6 hours, and 20 minutes. Arthur H. Clark commanded her and she was the first and smallest American yacht to sail from America directly to England. Her sails are neatly furled and stowed.
