Black and white photograph of the yacht 'Alice' taken soon after she arrived at Cowes from Boston in her record transatlantic journey in 19 days, 6 hours, and 20 minutes. Arthur H. Clark commanded her and she was the first and smallest American yacht to sail from America directly to England. In the photo, she flies an American flag and has only her gaff sail set. A manuscript description at the below the mounted photograph details the journey, the passengers, and information about the yacht.
