Description

On June 20, 1743, the British warship, 'Centurion,' commanded by Commodore Geroge Anson, captured the Spanish galleon, 'Nuestra Señora de Covadonga' commanded by Captain Jeronimo Montero near the coast of Luzon. The Spanish galleon was worth £500,000. After her capture, the Spanish vessel's name was changed to 'Centurion's Prize.'
