Description

Ship portrait, three-quarters stern view, of a French warship with a single row of guns. Her three masts are shown cut off, to avoid depicting sails and rigging. Her name, "The Isis", appears on the stern, below which is her prior name, "La Dimant [Diamant]". The title, artist attributions, and publisher information--"Published as the Act directs March 1st 1802. by John Sewell Cornhill. London." printed in lower margin.
