Description

Engraving depicting the Russian Squadron that visited England in 1827 with their yards manned in honor of the Dutchess of Clarence (later Queen Adelaide, previously Princess Adelaide of Saxe-Meningen), who is aboard the yacht "Royal Sovereign". The "Royal Sovereign" is in the center of the composition. In the lower margin, the name of each ship, with her gun count, are given. Below, the title and production information are printed. Labeled "Pl. 10" at bottom left corner of margin.
