Description

A plate from a series of engravings illustrating the actions of the British and French fleets during the Crimean War after Oswald W. Brierly. Screw ships in the distance steam up and prepare to tow the French fleet. The title is in English and in French with the series title under the coat of arms. The names of the ships are included under the image: HMS 'Princess Royal,' 'Austerlitz,' HMS 'Blenheim' (center foreground), 'Lightning,' 'Royal George,' and 'Majestic.'
