A starboard-side view of the schooner yacht 'Livonia' off the Eddystone Lighthouse. James Lloyd Ashbury commissioned Michael Ratsey of Cowes to build a challenger that would lift the America's Cup form the New York Yacht Club. Despite great expectations, the 'Livonia' was a largely unsuccessful yacht in matches.
