Print of negative of lithograph published by Hatch & Co. SS 'H. F. Dimock' was part of the Metropolitan Steamship Co. that serviced a direct route between New York and Boston. She was named after the line's New York agent.

The steamship sails towards the left. She has two masts with no sails set. A large medallion with the letter 'M' marks the ship as part of the Metropolitan Steamship Co. The skyline of New York and the Brooklyn Bridge are visible in the background.
