Description

The Motion Pictures section of Group 35 produced 35 silent and sound films to explain the technology of radar to non-specialists within the military.

With a grant from the National Film Preservation Institute, the MIT Museum was able to conserve this film Radar Indicators and create a reference copy for research and exhibition use. This silent film explains how many of the systems depicted in the photographs work. It also supplies some of the only color footage from the period showing the equipment developed at the Rad Lab in operation.
