Wilmer Lanier Barrow adjusts a radio antenna.
Original Caption: "'A simple + efficient apparatus for producing a beam of ultra-high frequency radio waves has been developed by Dr. Wilimer L. Barrow, '29, in the Dept of EE @ MIT. This electro-magnetic horn 'antenna' is expected to be useful in micro-ray communication over a narrow pencil-like beam @ wavelengths only a few inches long. Other applications may be in airplane and ship navigation. Dr. Barrow is shown adjusting the transmitter by which the waves are started from the square hollow tube into the throat of the horn.'
