Original Caption: "Pat On The Back Carolyn Ciccarelli's 'D-Day' is nearly here. After 11 years of night school at Boston University, June 3, 1962 can't come soon enough. On that date, Carolyn will receive her B.S. degree in marketing research from BU's College of Business Administration. She began at BU in 1951 studying the secretarial arts and in 1953 changed to the College of Business Administration where she was headed for a major in accounting. Four years later she changed again to a marketing research major. But, Carolyn is not stopping here. She eventually wants to teach and will begin a Master's degree in education studying nights this summer. How did she manage to stick with night school for so long while working days? She claims you automatically become conditioned to a tight schedule and really can't imagine yourself living any other way. The fact that the majority of her classes contained people sincerely interested in obtaining an education had some bearing on her own determination. And also, Carolyn gives credit to the encouragement of her family and the two men for who she has worked for 10 years, MIT's F.H. Norton, Professor of Ceramics, and W. David Kingery, Associate Professor of Ceramics."
