Original caption: "Dr. William Kraushaar and Dr. George Clark (l. to r.), members of the M.I.T. Laboratory for Nuclear Science, place an aluminum cover over the lead shielded, cosmic gamma ray equipment. This equipment, weighing more than 900 pounds, is carried by a balloon which is over 300 feet long, 200 feet in diameter and has a capacity of 3,000,000 cubic feet.
