Description

Black and white photograph of Charles Edison seated askew at a desk and looking up slightly towards the camera. The image ran with announcements that he was to take over the management of his father Thomas Edison's industries. Original caption: "Edison's Son to Take Over Control of Dad's Plants Charles Edison, son of Thomas Alva Edison, noted inventor, who is to take over the managership of all of his father's 33 different industries. He takes the place of Stephen B. Mambers, who has been at that job for the past 11 years. The latter realizes the senior Edison's ideas for his son, and says he will take orders from the younger man as readily as he has done from the older. (from Keystone View Co.)".
