Description

Harry Hughes using an apparatus in a laboratory at Harvard to measure mineral conductivity in conditions replicating those found in the Earth.

Original caption: "Dr. Harry Hughes, Asst. Professor of Geophysics, with equipment at Harvard used to measure the conductivity of minerals under conditions of high temperature and pressure, simulating conditions presumed to exist within the earth. The new center for Earth Sciences will include equipment to perform these studies."
