Original caption: "Mayor Edward A. Crane of Cambridge and members of the Cambridge City Council were hosts recently at a "Town-Gown" dinner held at the Hotel Continental, Cambridge. Guests included the Presidents of Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology and members of their administrative staffs. Shown here left to right are: Dr. Nathan M. Pusey, President of Harvard University, Honorable Edward A. Crane, Mayor of Cambridge, and Dr. Julius A. Stratton, President of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Twon-Gown dinners were inaugurated in 1940 by the late Mayor John H. Cocoran and the participating groups rotate as hosts."
