They were among a group of undergraduate women who were guests of Mrs. Julius A. Stratton, wife of M.I.T.'s president, for a presentation of the building plan from Herbert L. Beckwith, Professor of Architecture at M.I.T., and architect for the building, and for an opportunity to offer suggestions for the building's interior. Miss Tonso, of Antioch, California, and Miss Shapiro, of Great Neck, L.I., N.Y., are the present and former presidents of M.I.T.'s Association of Women Students.
