Original caption: "Juanita Tonso (left), a sophomore at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and M.I.T.'s Dean of Residence, Frederick Fassett (center), display a drawing of the M.I.T. women's dormitory not in the early stages of construction on Memorial Drive. Fellow admirers of the -story building design are Professor and Mrs. Lynwood S. Bryant and Devrie Shapiro, an M.I.T. senior. They were among a group of undergraduate women who were guests of Mrs. Julius A. Stratton, wife of M.I.T.'s president, for a presentation of the building plan from Herbert L. Beckwith, Professor of Architecture at M.I.T., and architect for the building, and for an opportunity to offer suggestions for the building's interior. Miss Tonso, of Antioch, California, and Miss Shapiro, of Great Neck, L.I., N.Y., are the present and former presidents of M.I.T.'s Association of Women Students.
