Original caption: "Hi-fi speaker invented by Amar G. Bose, Asst. Prof. Electrical Engineering. It is an eighth of a sphere containing 22 speakers. Placed on the floor, the speaker uses the floor and walls as mirorrs and the music pours out in all directions as though coming from a sphere." March 1960
