Description

Multiple flash photograph of golfer Bobby Jones as he swings his driver; photographed at 100 flashes per second at an exposure time of 1/100,000 of a second. This photograph (likely taken in 1938) reveals that the ball velocity is 225 feet per second; the club velocity before impact, 166 feet per second; after impact, 114 feet per second. (See "Flash!
