Large-scale construction model of a diesel-powered tug built for the US Army during World War II. Model shows the frames and bulkheads; propeller, shaft, and engine; deck combings; and the towing bitts. Only the upper strakes of the hull are plated. Model rests in a wooden cradle.
This model came to MIT from the George Lawley and Son Corp., a shipyard that built several of these tugs during World War II.
