Description

This current transformer consists of a metal box with a leather-covered handle attached to the top of the instrument. There are four binding posts on the top of the instrument. Serial number 73317s.

Precision current transformers take an original voltage and produce a reduced current proportional to the current in the original system. This reduced current can then safely be used in measuring instruments. This current transformer was used in MIT’s Department of Electrical Engineering.
