Three brass collimators in a wooden rack. These items were used with the Weissenberg camera (IN-1252).

Collimators are used to narrow a beam of particles or waves. In this case, it was used to filter a stream of x-rays so that only those rays that are travelling parallel in a specific direction are allowed through.
