TX-2 Magnetic Core Memory, Lincoln Laboratory, developed 1952-1959. The TX-2 had three core memories. This is the fast 64k-word index memory. The core is a square block consisting of multiple stacked layers of memory planes. Each plane has 16 separate core memory grids.
