Description

Rigging plan for the brigantine Beaver, showing the ship in profile, with outlines of sails and spars, from the starboard side. Sections showing the fore and main masts are at right.

This plan, a recreation of an eighteenth century trading ship, was drawn by naval architect William A. Baker. It was used to convert a Baltic trading ship into a representation of the brig Beaver, one of the three ships boarded during the Boston Tea Party in 1773. The recreated Beaver is displayed at the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum in Boston.

Original plan # 49-1.
