1912 - 1961

Desmond & Lord was established in 1912 by two principles at Codman & Despradelle after the death of Désiré Despradelle. Desmond & Lord continued to occupy the 15 Beacon Street office once use by Codman & Despradelle through 1927. In 1928, the firm relocated to 1 Beacon Street. By 1943, Desmond & Lord had made its final move to 6 Beacon Street. By 1961, both Desmond and Lord had left the firm. The firm continued to exist and many of thier designs were carried out through the 1970s.
