Builder
Won the first America's Cup, then "100-Pound Cup", later renamed for her. Commissioned by the New York Yacht Club. Renamed "Camilla" in 1856 by second owner. Briefly a Confederate ship under the name "Memphis" (1860). Returned to the North and renamed to "America" in 1862. Used by the U.S. Navy in the late 19th c., then sold to private owners, finally back to the Navy (in the form of the Naval Academy in Annapolis) in 1940; the shed she was in collapsed on the already decaying ship, and in 1945 her remains were scrapped and burnt.
